MEDAL® EC by Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC (EPA Reg. No. 100-816) is a versatile pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide designed for effective weed control in agricultural settings. Formulated with the active ingredient S-metolachlor, MEDAL EC targets a broad spectrum of key grassy and small-seeded broadleaf weeds, including troublesome species such as foxtails, crabgrass, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, pigweed, and waterhemp. Application Timing: - Apply MEDAL EC prior to weed emergence for optimal results, either pre-plant incorporated, pre-plant surface, or pre-emergence to the crop and weeds. - For some labeled crops, early post-emergence application is also allowed but should be done when weeds are small and actively growing.
